The Bach

We went the The Bach gift store which is nicely located among the Town Basin shops in Whangarei. They stock an excellent range of handmade crafts, from letterboxes, books, and souvenirs. There is also a cafe next door. The staff in there were friendly and helpful. The store was very nice for a browse through while we were at the Whangarei shops.

The Bach is as much as an art gallery as well as a gift shop. All the work on display is from local artists and the quality of the work is beautiful. Sometimes I just go down to see the paintings and displays of pottery there, and not buy anything. It's a nice place to shop at, though, if you want to buy something special for a gift.

Easy parking - during the weekdays as weekends can be busy. The basin is a great place and this gift shop is awesome. Lots of items to browse - scarves, pottery, leather, cards, woodwork, jewellery and more. Love watching the weaving work progress. Also love popping next door to the cafe.

Beautiful gift shop with some wonderful gifts and artwork. Everytime I'm in whangarei I always pop in here to buy some soap. It's all natural and great for sensitive skin. Sometimes you may be lucky enough to see someone working on a weaving project or artowrk in store.
