Otaika Post Shop is more than a branch of the post office, it is a kiwibank too, a stationers and a lotto outlet. I always pop in here to buy my lotto ticket. On Saturday's it stays open until 7pm, which is great. No nonsense staff, either, but always friendly.

Whether you're buying stamps or sending money overseas, from the Otaika Lotto and Post Shop, all is done with a smile and friendly chat. This shop would be one of the most helpful and nicest post shops in Whangarei. Other post shops just take whatever is put across the counter; but Otaika Lotto and Post Shop's staff go the extra mile. If there is a quicker or cheaper way of sending a letter or parcel they will suggest it. They have a good range of magazines, greeting cards and stationery too, as well as providing postal services and Lotto tickets.
