Nectar Catering & Cafe

Nectar has a blackboard menu plus cabinet food. They have a good range of pasta and salads and the servings are generous. It's lovely in the winter as they have an open fire, which make the cafe very homely. The coffee is really good as well. Friends and I have morning tea or lunch here, often.

The cafe itself is quite nice. Good atmosphere and lots of sun at the back of the dining area. Waiting staff weren't very friendly given they work in the hospitality industry. Food was good enough, i ordered the ham omelette, the relish was nice. My coffee for a moccha was very strong. Where we initially sat on the leather benches we had to move from as the cushions were far too soft and uncomfortable to sit in. The place seems to have changed from the last time i came through Whangarei a couple of years back.
