Last year, two separate plumbers quoted me $92 to come and replace a washer on an outside tap. I couldn't afford this, so a neighbour told me to contact Age Concern. I did this and, within the hour, their handyman had been and gone and my outside tap no longer leaked. The total cost - $1 for the washer and $20 to join Age Concern. I have never regretted a cent of that money and continue to use their handyman services plus venture along to some of their workshops too. I would recommend anyone in the older age bracket to join this amazing service.
