Detour Bar & Lounge

Excellent service. Friendly staff. Pricing for meals are very reasonable depending on what you were after. Huge variety to choose from, catering for everybodies needs. I loved it here. The place was very cosy and the bartenders were fabulous. We were able to choose where we wanted to sit and the wait for a meal wasn't as long as expected considering the amount of customers in there at the time. I do highly recommend Detour. My half a star left is only because I had a drunken from the Detour Bar come up to me being a pest when I was trying to enjoy my meal. I think the staff should have controlled him rather than made me have to ask him politely to 'leave me alone'. They should not be near those that are having a meal if they are only there to drink.

After a long day driving around the cape this eatery was a great experience, food was great value and taste. Service from Jo and Mikayla was good and delivered with a smile.. Worth a try.

Nicest restaurant I've been to in a while. I went all over town checking restaurants for a light meal and ambience, choosing Detour Bar and Lounge. I felt relaxed and enjoyed my light meal of garlic butter and herb prawns. Best I've eaten. I thought the decor, ambience and service was great. All 3 staff members I spoke with were friendly and helpful. I will visit this restaurant again.

The food at Detour is very nice, and there's a lot of variety - delicious bowls of wedges and chips and tasty breads and dips to enjoy with your drink, or large meals like beautiful sirloin steaks and fresh pasta if you're on the hungrier side. There's plenty of seating here, too, and the staff are always professional.
