Love the selection of books this library has, would pick to come here most weeks. Has some special random picks you wouldn’t find in other small libraries.

Excellent library, 3 floors worth of collections. Cafe on site, and you can bring food with you on the ground floor and 1st level if you want to snack while reading/studying. Excellent community postings as well.

Wonderful modern building with lots of seating. Staff are very helpful. Good coffee at the cafe. I highly recommend a visit with small children to the children book area for story time, plus has a great selection of children's books.

Huge library with lots of computer terminals and a well stocked collection. There is a cafe and the library is convenient located.

Great range of books, zines, and other resources such as databases, archives, ebooks, lynda.com, etc. Scanner and book scanner available for making copies of archive material for free.

Generally good staff but had a poor experience on my last visit where the staff member on the 2nd-floor desk who got some archives for me that I was looking for was rude and treated me as if I was a delinquent or something. This was disappointing as WCL staff to dealing with a diverse range of people. It is usually the experience I might have at a fancy retail store but not at a library – I've never had this with the National Archives or the National Library.
The filing system for WCL's artefacts was extremely damaging to them – multiple illegal bulletins from the 1951 lockout were ripped or damaged due to having to be folded to be shoved into the small filing pouch.
His colleague was much friendlier and helpful later on which evened out the overall experience a little.

On the whole, I love WCL, and we are lucky to have such a fantastic library in our city.
