The Bruhaus

Thought the food was really nice, served hot, and great tasting. Service was good and the beers hit the spot. Pretty good location and all very reasonable for Wellington Prices.

Not only is the Bruhaus superbly located in the heart of the Wellington CBD but Tom, the outstanding Manager, has gone to great lengths to create a perfect combination of great beers and delicious food!

I've been a regular there since it opened and have seen it develop it's range of hand drawn ales into something to be really proud of. Tom and his team really know their products well and are pleased to offer samplers of any ale you might fancy; nothing is too much trouble and there are frequent 'specials' to enjoy as well.

For lunch-time eaters, the Bruhaus provides a really tasty array of popular and well presented dishes - the food is always great and the service from the kitchen speedy, so ideal for business lunches, as well as for the casual diner, like me!

Now, with a recently extended covered seating area outside, the pub draws customers at all times of day or night and caters really well for the many visitors to Wellington.

What more can you ask for? Central location; superb ales, spirits and wines; wholesome food served promptly at sensible prices and an engaging Manager who has assembled quality staff, front of house or in the kitchen. In a compact City with so much competition, the Bruhaus is a stand-out bar and eatery!

German style bar, don't come here too often but seems popular with older types. Big focus on German / Continental type beers. Very open bar in terms of decor but also quite small. Definitely good for an afternoon beer or a few quite ones before moving on somewhere else.

Probably the biggest craft beer selection in town.
