Te Waka Huia Wellington Museum

I loved the architecture of this museum. An interesting museum with a cosy atmosphere. I learned heaps about the history of Wellington during my visit. I found the attic with the time-travel machine to be particularly fun! A great place for family outing. Free admission.

Small but brilliant must see museum.

We recently visited and were surprised how much is packed in to a small space.

With displays showing everything from sailing and maritime history they also cover strikes and the history of New Zealand.

Seeing how people arrived to New Zealand and how things have changed make this a must visit.

They also have a gift shop and parking nearby is either pay and display or metred

Excellent museum, quality exhibits and a great place showcasing our national history.

Location great, walki8ng distance to cafes and sea views. Really enjoyable.

Really good little musem. Nicley done with a recent remodel I think. The displays are informative and interesting. the little one was into it as well which means it meets a 2 year olds approval for interaction
