The pre-school storytime, which runs during the week is amazing and our fav thing to do here.
Really something for all ages

Really awesome place. Love that it is still free. Lots of great permanent exhibitions as well as changing ones. Feel like a few seats around to take a rest would be awesome. Toilets always clean and temperature always lovely.

I went to Te Papa on my trip to Wellington and I have to say they had the most amazing Gallipoli exhibit made by Weta Workshop. I would recommend seeing this to anyone as it was truly mind-blowing and taught you a lot about different New Zealanders' war experiences. The rest of the museum however I found wasn't that exciting. There are a few interactive things to do but overall I was a little disappointed as I thought their displays would be more exciting and informative. If the Gallipoli exhibition had not been there I would not have spent much time at all here.

Such a nice museum. the exhibition with the big statues from the war was amazing. huge exhibition about maori culture.

Cannot recommend a visit to Te Papa enough. The exhibitions here are magnificent. Weta Workshop did a lot of work on the Gallipoli showcase and it was amazing. Thoroughly enjoyed it - you will easily spend a day here!
