I prefer visiting to view the art collection. The other exhibits worth noting are the Gallipoli Exhibition, and the Maori collection. Worth visiting.

Amazing experience! Have been multiple times and there are changing exhibits but we also enjoy the constant ones that stay. Cafe has delicious food available and confortable seating. Lots of opportunities for selfies. Wonderful museum, highly recommend!

The best museum in New Zealand. Gorgeous exhibits and lots of detailed information plaques. The Gallipoli exhibition is just incredible, the details on the soldiers is amazing. It's a sombre experience but well worth a visit. Make sure you read all the information throughout the exhibit as well - it really paints a picture of the awful but fascinating history of WWI.
