Logan Brown Restaurant & Bar

Absolutely loved the whole experience at Logan Brown, from entrees to mains and the 1920's style character and design of the building and fine dining restaurant.

Logan Brown has an incredibly high reputation as being one of the best restaurants in Wellington, but having dined there not too long ago I tend to disagree. Let me first say, I loved the atmosphere and the layout of the restaurant and the service was impeccable. To this day I have never received better service than I did at Logan Brown. Their downfall, in my opinion, was the food. Disappointing right? I know. Logan Brown is practically know as one of our cuisine treasures but I didn't find this to be so, or at least not on the night I was there. I found the Pumpkin Ravioli to be somewhat bland and the Sweet Taste of Logan Brown Dessert Platter to be overrated too. Don't get me wrong they were both beautifully presented but just lacking in flavor with no point of difference to anything similar i had ever tried elsewhere. The one course I really did quite enjoy was my rabbit Entree and the wine paring but other than that I found the whole experience rather disappointing.

Hannah was attentive as out waiter and the food was just stunning - as always the Paua Ravioli was the highlight. I look forward to coming back again to Logan Brown when in Wellington next.

Love this place. Excellent food with unpretentious top-class service in the atmospheric old bank building. Definitely try the wine match with the bistro menu.

It has been several years since we last visited. We felt that this time was even better than previously. The food and wine were excellent and the service was exceptional. Definitely recommended.
