I was invited here for a ceremony and found out you can do individual, group or school tours.
This is the official residence of the Governor General and is set back away from the main roads of Newtown.
A long road with beautiful trees and gardens leading to the house and the building is stunning and well worth a visit.
The gardens are large and beautiful whilst the house is large and shows how New Zealand has changed and shows where dignitaries including the Royal Family stay when visiting.
A stunning place to visit and you must pre-book and will not be disappointed.

I came for a tour here and the building was magnificent. The tour guide was informative and every room of the house had its own story to tell. A good little video was shown as well about how the whole place is used, especially regarding official visits and when forming a government
