Great service every time. The owners are very friendly and honest. The shoe store that I work in uses this company often and have not had an issue :) We are often recommending them and will continue to do so. Cheers for the lovely and might I mention, years of great service.

Would not recommend them to anyone. After 1 month of having them resoled and $95 the heel of my right boot fell off. Took them in to be repaired, instead got yelled, threatened and called thick. He refuses to fix them as "I would never be a satisfied customer". Poor workmanship and horrendous customer service. I left Dixon St Shoe repairs feeling ripped off, belittled and upset as these were my favourite boots.

DO NOT GO HERE, WILL RUIN SHOES AND VERBALLY ABUSE YOU.

It seems this isn't the first, there is recurring theme of verbal abuse and denial of mistakes. Read the low rating comments. Very poor and low standard of service when things don't go right.

They seem to also have very poor knowlege of the Consumer Guarantees Act (1993).

STORY:
My sister went into Dixon St Shoe Repairs a few weekends ago to fix my Dior Kitten heels which cost $1k. Prior to this, I did a lot of research on Google, reddit, Facebook, etc regarding services and quality due to the cost of my shoes. The shoes required a builder underneath the shoe as it had worn down due to being leather. The first man I spoke to was amazing and explained what would be done.
On pick up I noticed half the bottom of the sole was cut off and thought this would be okay until I took them home and realised the material was fraying and coming off the shoe.
I went back immediately and was promised it to be repaired to the previous condition (no fraying and the material stuck to the sole of the shoe) but I returned today at 1:36pm to glue marks all over the toe, holes in the material on the toe area and more fraying. I voiced this to the old man who was working who yelled at me and verbally abused me saying the damage was already made previously (which was done by Dixon St Shoe Repair on their initial repair job). I had to call my partner who came to support me due to the workers verbal abuse. He mentioned that I should return if they get damaged again and I said I couldn’t keep coming back every time the material unravelled due to poor repair job.
I asked him how I could contact the owner/ manager of the shop but resulted in more yelling towards me. In the end, he agreed to repairing the shoe but was extremely rude and abusive. I am unsure if this is because I am a young Asian woman but I would NEVER recommend this shoe repair shop to anyone and will be taking further action.

Had a good experience getting my dress shoes resoled and a rubbery heel put on so that they are less noisy when I walk. Good service, a bit expensive though.
