Plume - The Vineyard Restaurant

We were in Matakana for a wedding held at this restaurant, but went a day early so that we could go to the Saturday market before heading to the wedding. We stayed at the beautiful Plume villas and just walked to the restaurant on Friday evening. We were able to sit outside and view the garden and look out to the surrounding hills. The food was particularly well presented and delicious. We will definitely return when we can. I recommend reservations and note that the restaurant is not open every evening.

We came here after the Matakana markets that day. We all decided to go for the vegetarian options: we shared the Vegetable terrine, Wild mushroom risotto. Tortellini, garden salads. All were so beautifully presented, and tasted amazing, real flavours came through. For the deserts we all had the lemon creme brulee which was a real fragrant desert. We are all going to come again, the setting is wonderfully relaxing, like a country getaway.

Very nice restaurant and garden. Brought the family for a nice lunch out, very nice atmosphere, lovely garden and a vineyard.

I was impressed at how fast the service was. The serving size was very generous. Everything was delicious: the highlights for me include the avocado & feta smash, and the cumin lamb. They also have a lovely selection of wines. The rose panna cotta & spiced sponge for desserts were also very interesting.

The location was beautiful, amazing views. Restaurant is well maintained and clean. Staff were very friendly and professional. The food was great, I tried a couple things I hadn't had before and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience! I will definitely be back for sure!
