As a member of Lions International for over a decade, I feel it was some of the most fun and satisfying years of my life. As well as business and dinner evening with club members, you visit other Lions clubs and, of course, help your community through events and fundraisers each club holds. Lions Clubs are open to men and women; all clubs are mixed now, and should you wish, once you reach an older age, you can transfer to a Pakeke Lions Club, which caters for members who have reached retirement age - but don't want to give up the good work they do, through Lions.
