I stayed at the Discovery Lodge with a friend visiting from England ahead of our trek over Tongariro. The 5am shuttle is superb and guaranteed us first view over the crossing. Excellent clean lodgings and would 100% stay there again

We stayed two nights at their camping site, and also booked their Tongariro Alpine Crossing transport. The common area provided a simple kitchen (hot plats and ovens, kettle & fridges), which was quite convenient. The bathroom for females was OK. We also booked their transport service for Tongariro Alpine crossing. Overall, we're quite satisfied with the service and the place. Will stay again next time coming nearby.

I stayed here one night on my trip to Tongariro Crossing and had an amazing experience. The rooms were spacious, clean, tidy, and had all the necessary amnities.

We stay in the ensuite double almost every time when we go skiing at Mt Ruapehu. Great location - only 15min drive to the ski field.
