Whangamomona Hotel

A great vibe at this tourist-trap; biker and classic car enthusiasts were everywhere on the day we visited. The service was good, great banter between the staff letting you know they are happy in their work and also get on well together. Interesting artefacts decorating the interior. Food was usual pub-fare and very well priced. A great stop for those doing the 'Forgotten World Highway' trip. Highly recommend you take a wander around the little village which has been made into a sort of museum.

This pub is a must see on The Forgotten Highway. Stay the night if you can. Then peacefulness will get into your bones
