Hotel Armitage

Hotel is quite old and average, but the staff were great and really friendly. Our room was nice and tidy and the bathroom was very clean. Great location close to town.

While the hotel, rooms, toilet and amenities are out dated, everything was tidy, clean and well maintained. The staff were helpful. Great views if facing the sea. Close to the city center too.

I stayed here for work. The place has an old style charm with a grand piano in the lobby. Very comfortable room, mine had a nice wee balcony onto the street.
2 mins walk to all the restaurant and bars. Good amenity's with a pool, spa and snooker table. I really enjoyed my time here and would recommend.

The hotel was due for a makeover after our last stay. At that point, there was some occupancy, but the hotel is absolutely huge so quite clearly some areas were definitely not used. We stayed twice and once we requested a specific room type which might not have been commonly used so quite frankly that room was a bit musty and had dated decor like dials for buttons and switches. A good location and good if need to house a huge number of guests. An option to see how it is like after its makeover.
