This is a great place to take children, as you get to feed some of the animals. I went there once a few years ago, and I had so much fun, walking around all day, looking at the animals. If you haven't been there before, I really recommend going to check it out.

Went here during the school holidays and the reception staff were so lovely - we easily got the half-price locals discount by providing the necessary proof of address. The lion feeding was very exciting and the lady who did the talk was awesome - great with people and her facts were spot on, it was also delivered in a fun way for kids and not too scientific. Only thing that could be improved is the selection of food at the cafe and price tags in the cabinets as a lot fo the food is quite expensive and it would be nice to know before being at the counter to pay. Animals all in good condition and well-looked after

We loved it. Especially for my niece. Yes, a bit pricey but good place to catch up and see some animals. The food being fed to the lions was their main show piece and was great to experience it. It was a bit cold and sometimes raining but we loved all the aspects of the walk around. Small Cafe in there too but service was defo with a smile.

Wonderful place to visit and spend time. I was lucky enough to actually feed a lion cub and have a play and cuddle. Great way to experience the New Zealand nature, plant life and lush greenery. Also saw the lions at feeding time - a little scary, but still cool. Love immersing myself in nature.
