Adventure Playground Rotorua

10/10 would definitely go again! The staff are really helpful, horse riding was so fun! Butt was a bit sore afterwards, but that's expected! We did the 1 hour trek - would love to go longer next time.

Prices are fantastic, the guides are super friendly and they match your riding level so it's perfect if you're an absolute novice to being advanced. The treks take you up Mt Ngongotaha to stunning breath taking views overlooking Lake Rotorua and all around!

If horses aren't your thing then try out buggy rides, 4WD Quad bikes or clay shooting! Highly recommended and they'll even drop you back at your hotel!

Really happy after spending the afternoon at this place - the staff were so friendly, knowledgable and also safety conscious which made for an exciting day where we learnt plenty about the area. The 4x4 tours give some amazing insight into the incredible history of Mt Ngongotaha and you get plenty of amazing photo opportunities. The clay bird shooting is also really fun and staff make you aware of all the necessary safety protocols and are supportive which is really nice when it's your first time holding a gun! Would highly recommend spending the day with the awesome team at Adventure Playground! The horse riding is amazing too I've been a few times and the horses are all well behaved and you get stunning views from the top (you feel like you're in Lord of the Rings!)
