Thai Siam Restaurant

Pretty good restaurant, super busy on a saturday night. Managed to get a table. Ordered four items on the menu only to be served with 3 with the apologies of one of them lacking in stock, but that was fine. Tom Yum Soup was a bit too sour and missing a key ingredient which I think was the Galangal or Kaffir Lime Leaf.

Wandered around Queenstown and most places had an hour wait. Stopped in at Thai Siam which had lots of spare tables and was pleasantly surprised. The service was good and quick and the food was delicious. A few interesting slightly different to standard Thai fare. Highly recommend

We had the steamboat and pineapple rice; the steamboat was very flavoursome and warmed your soul on a cold day. The pineapple rice with chicken was very filling and tasty.

The worest tom yang soup ever! The red curry is so watery and tooooo sweat. The prown is not fresh. Maybe i am the unlucky one But i will scared to try again.

I was absolutely delighted this place was open during my trip to Queenstown. Had just arrived from Christchurch and it was just as NZ was announced at Level 3 lockdown so many many places had already closed up. We were seated at socially distanced tables and there was hand sanitizer available (very common now but not so much back then).

The food was really nice and not too expensive. Staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was warm too. Probably wouldn't have gone there if not for the lockdown, but I am really glad I got the chance to go
