Got the oysters, was so delicious . The atmosphere is nice and the place is very cute. Atmosphere is great! Would defiantly recommend coming.

The mussels were massive, briny, juicy, and tender and marinated in a tangy garlic and white wine sauce. Toasted ciabatta bread was served on the side to soak up the flavorful sauce that pooled at the bottom of the dish.

The ribeye steak was very nicely seared, even finished off with what looks like aromatic garlic butter on the steak, served with a choice of sauce and a pinch of caramelized onions on the side. Safe to say this is one of the best steaks in town, tender and cooked evenly throughout, that aromatic finisher on top of the steak probably contributed the difference in flavour, no sauce needed.

We had a lovely, but very long day traveling to the Milford Sound and wanted a quiet spot. Captain's was perfect. We shared delicious Bluff Oysters, the fantastic Green Lip Mussels in a perfect garlicky broth and perfectly done calamari in a spicy aioli.

Stopped in for some breakfast. My eggs were really nice and the service was very friendly.
