Captains Restaurant

We ate at the Captains Restaurant while in Queenstown on holiday - first thing I noticed is that the place was full consistently and all staff asked if the entrants had a booking. We didnt but they did fit us in - lucky for us. The setting is rustic and the fireplace certainly helped since it was a fairly cold night. After a really nice starter I had a sirloin steak that melted in the mouth, and our risotto dish was excellent as well. The chips with truffle oil were amazing and although we couldnt finish it, the green salad was special.

Lovely service and great food. Just prepare to spend a bit more than the average restaurant. Give or take about $50 per person.

Beautiful fine dining restaurant, one of QT's gems. They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Huge menu selection but in my experience everything was well cooked and seasoned. You can get an amazing steak and choose which sauce you would like with it. Yum

This place was surprisingly good. The food was of exceptional quality. Good atmosphere, and good staff. Would highly recommend.

Captains is so inviting! The food is amazing and it's very reasonably priced. The staff are so beautiful! They explain the menu so well and even ask about your day and are genuinely interested. Captains is our go to restaurant when we're in Queenstown. If I could give them more stars I would!!
