we had a fantastic time catching the steam train to woodville, then went to the races and caught the steam train home. Was a magical day.

Not the biggest museum in the world, but it makes up for it in quirkiness. This museum has a great feel to it and we were the only ones there so felt like it was all for us! The staff are well informed and keen to share their knowledge.

The Paekakariki railway museum is a surprisingly good place to while away some time. The set up is very cute and has some interesting exhibits.
