Otorohanga Kiwi House & Native Bird Park

What a fabulous place, we especially enjoyed watching the Kea and Kaka at feeding time. Highly recommend.

So many Beautiful native birds of New Zealand and spectacular views. Great place to go with the family. Really enjoyed it and was very exciting to see the kiwis.

The best place I've ever visited to actually see Kiwi!! You see them every single time in the dark rooms. Unlike other zoos/parks where you spend ages looking and never see them. Last time I visited, I watched a kiwi play right in front of me for ages. It was awesome! Really enjoy the walk through the park also. Heaps of Native birds about to see and photograph

Very convenient location right in town. Many kiwis to see in the dark enclosure which the kids thought was great. Staff are so helpful. Many other animals and birds as well. Great value for money.

Love it! We stopped on our way home from the snow. My daughter was doing a project on the Kea and the lovely staff at the kiwi house told her all about them and even printed out some info for her to take home! Very helpful. It was cool to see some Kiwis too
