Portside Restaurant & Bar

An amazing spot for dinner, but is on the expensive side. However the views across the harbour make up for that, right next to the penguin colony makes this a popular and often busy place especially around 5 and 6pm and even more so in the summer months. The menu is a bit limited with a big array of fish and seafood being the main direction, but the staff were always friendly and service didn't take that long.

Fantastic shared platters with lots of flavour. Would definitely go there again. Great outlook over the ocean also.

I travel a lot with work and ended up stuck in Oamaru for the night, Very surprised at how good the food was, Portside you out did some of the best restaurants in Otago¢ral Otago and southland

Fantastic friendly staff who got our order sorted quickly and with a smile. Great value for money as portions were more than adequate and quite yummy.
