Mcdiarmids has a very long history in oamaru. Good range of mens and womens plus kids footwear. They also do repairs. Located on the main st with plenty of on street parking.

I havent been in oamaru very long and a friend told me i could get childrens shoes here. So i went in with my kids to grab some shoes. The man who served me was very unpleasant to deal with. He wasnt very nice to my son and got angry with him for not automatically knowing how to get his foot measured. He is 4. I refused to buy anything and left

Ever since we moved to Oamaru, this was our first stop for new shoes, the service and helpful, friendly staff made the experience pleasant and the range of good quality shoes for everyone at an affordable price range means it is our only stop for shoes for the family. They also do repairs which I have used a couple of times to fix heels on beloved boots and shoes, each time being quick and easy with the repairs still holding up to this day.

Grant was ready to help with his wealth of knowledge about shoes and the customers will feel valued for his caring and professional customer service service, which is nowadays sometimes hard to get.
