Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre

What a great place to do yoga! We have a sanctuary here in New Plymouth this place is amazing it has lovely gardens surrounding the yoga space, lots of natural light and fresh air, warm in the winter always feels good. The teachers are fantastic all unique and very welcoming and supportive. I love how there is different types of classes available and many different levels and times to suit depending on what I feel like on any day and how my schedule is for time. I started off on a beginners course which I found to be truly beneficial. So many times I have gone to yoga classes not really knowing what was going on, but this course gives great foundations to build a good practice. Yoga has become a really important part of my life thanks to the crew at Sivananda Yoga. I feel I have lost a tonne of weight, muscles have become stronger, back pain is even gone but most of all I'm more relaxed and happy in my day to day life.
I can't recommend this enough for anyone who wants health and happiness!

I joined this Yoga Centre and bought a 10-session card (which they kept). Unfortunately, after about 4 sessions I became seriously ill and did not attend for a while. When I felt a bit better, I contacted Sivananda Yogaa, New Plymouth about how many sessions I still had on my card and was told that my card had expired! Despite my explanation that I was sick, the centre refused to honour my pre-paid card! I have never gone back to this place, and advise everyone to avoid them. There are so many other excellent yoga providers in New Plymouth.
