Ruth Parsons is a full member of NZAC and is ACC registered to work in the area of sexual abuse, along with being able to help you with depression, anxiety, trauma and complex trauma, coping with grief and loss, relationship issues, addictions and so much more. Based in Hardy Street, Nelson, Ruth is experienced in the use of brief therapies such as Cognitive and Solution Focused therapies or the more traditional Psychodyamic method which aims to make the unconscious conscious. Working with you Ruth is able to clarify issues, link existing problems to old paradigms and uncover what is troubling you. Providing more than just counselling for isolated concerns, Ruth takes a strong empathetic as well as a theoretical approach which educates and empowers you to cope and manage issues as you move through life's challenges.
