Red Cross Shops

was here on saturday, bought a lovely crochet blanket. Lots of bargains and homewares at good prices. Staff really friendly.

Very small store with a limited amount of items to choose from. In a very handy location on Vanguard street.

This branch of the Red Cross is cramped, smelly and the staff are unfriendly. The prices are hefty, especially when you can pick up cheaper items of clothing at KMart and the Warehouse brand new. Perhaps a relocation of premises will help the clutter, and a training course on customer service. People who use Red Cross are already feeling things are rough and so a friendly face goes a long way in brightening someone's day.

Good location, easy to get to, a variety of items. Worth looking around for a bit as not much different than other second-hand shops. I like to look for cheap books here but not so much the clothing. They have a problem a bunch of people dumping rubbish at their store so I expect that takes up a lot of their time having to sort through it.
