Woods Underground Utility DetectionIt is essential to locate known subterranean services and assets prior to excavations and designs. Underground service location increases safety and mitigates risks on-site by locating underground hazards and assets. This is carried out using service plans as a guide, Electromagnetic Induction (EMI) tools, Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), manhole lifters, and visual observation.Woods' in-house standard operating procedure for underground service location is used for all subsurface service investigations. This encompasses best practice procedures for detecting underground assets using our location equipment. The equipment used includes dual frequency Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR).All our mark-outs follow the standard guidelines presented in the Minimum Standard for Utility Identification and Protection on Road Projects published by Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency.Cable Locating and Utility TracingPassive and Active TracingTop of the Line, Modern EquipmentAccurately location and tracing of telecommunication and electricity linesPowerful, long lasting-current generator for tracing conductive services and tracersIntuitive On-site Mark-outs and ReportingWe can help you manage utility locating, inspecting, and GIS / GPS mapping
