Thai Orchid has been an iconic Thai restaurant in the South Island for over 30 years. As new owners we are bringing the original spices and freshness back to Thai Orchid. Over 60 years of traditional Thai Cooking experience in the kitchen ensures some of the best Thai food you will find anywhere. The restaurant environment is very warm while the workers are inviting and polite. They cook fresh and don’t leave you waiting a long time. I have tried the green curry which is my fav; the pad Thai was really lovely . fast serice and very good customer service .

Great restaurant, came here with my family and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. I got the pad thai which was amazing! Come here with family or friends you won't regret it.

Food and service here is always great! Been many times now. Excellent selection of dishes. The Spicy Lemon Salmon & Crispy Duck are so delicious. I especially love the hot Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodle) .. Amazing food! :) Staff are so friendly giving lovely service. My favourite Christchurch restaurant! .. Will be back :)

Went for a birthday and the lovely owner gave us a couple of glasses of wine on the house! Amazing food too

I really like Thai Orchid in Riccarton. The staff are laid back and friendly, and work hard to make sure you get a good experience. Today when we were there they were short-staffed, and our server was literally running up and down the restaurant to take orders and make sure customers weren't keep waiting.
The value lunch menu is short and sweet but great value at ten bucks. The usual favourites are on it and they are all nicely made and arrive at the table quickly.
