Southern Trailers (Ifor Williams Horse Floats & Trailers)

We bought a new HB511 IFor Williams horse float from this company 18 months ago. We first had an issue with the seal on the opening roof vent coming off. It had been put on back to front with the join facing the front. We were expected to do the fiddly work of replacing this ourselves (with live in Palmerston North). Next we had an issue with some galvanised plated bars in the very front of the inside of the float corroding. This company told us 'not to worry - just polish them!' These components were poorly plated and deteriorated beyond reasonable in a premature time. Beware - if you have any problems and you live a distance from Cambridge then you will be expected to carry out any repairs yourself and be expected to accept poor parts quality. These people were lovely to deal with when purchasing but if you have any problems then expect terrible service because that's what you'll get! Don't think they will pay to have a service person in your area attend to anything because they won't! They tell you they have these service people around the country (when you are looking to purchase) but they don't provide them. The service from this company is extremely disappointing . .
