At Capers we have a passion for providing fresh quality food in an environment that caters equally well for breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee to go or a take home meal. We have a delicious range of both hot dishes, desserts, salads, sandwiches and wraps. Our cabinet food is available all day, with a selection that changes daily. We offer a range of cuisines, from New Zealand favorites to salads from around the world! Our special children's menu offers yummy meals for our younger patrons who can also enjoy playing with interactive toys or watch a video whilst Mum and Dad relax to enjoy their meal. We opened in 2001, and have spent the 16 years developing our own recipes for the traditional coffees sold in New Zealand, but you can ask for your favourites as we will know how to make it! The FREDS (Freshly Roasted Every Day) coffee used at Capers contains A Grade PNG, Colombian Excelso (medellin) and Kenyan AA. The Capers foodstore sources a range of Kiwi artisan and organic producers with a commitment to fair trade. Capers also includes the T2 tea boutique concept to their mix which offers an extensive selection of traditional favourites and edgy teas. Stopped here after reading a review about how good their Lemon Tart was and decided to try it for myself,can honestly say it did not disappoint.This tart was simply devine,creamy,light,not overly tangy and probably one of the best I've had.If your a lemon lover then I suggest you give it a go

Such a nice place and certainly deserves a 5 star rating. Hot meals and cabinet food, theres a great range available and they are always introducing something exciting and new. The very best coffee in town

its a very busy cafe, people coming and going. lots of celebrities come here so me and the girls often come to see who might be there. The cafe is very tidy and clean, and food is delicious..
