      At Capers we have a passion for providing fresh quality food in an environment that caters equally well for breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee to go or a take home meal. We have a delicious range of both hot dishes, desserts, salads, sandwiches and wraps. Our cabinet food is available all day, with a selection that changes daily. We offer a range of cuisines, from New Zealand favorites to salads from around the world! Our special children's menu offers yummy meals for our younger patrons who can also enjoy playing with interactive toys or watch a video whilst Mum and Dad relax to enjoy their meal. We opened in 2001, and have spent the 16 years developing our own recipes for the traditional coffees sold in New Zealand, but you can ask for your favourites as we will know how to make it! The FREDS (Freshly Roasted Every Day) coffee used at Capers contains A Grade PNG, Colombian Excelso (medellin) and Kenyan AA. The Capers foodstore sources a range of Kiwi artisan and organic producers with a commitment to fair trade. Capers also includes the T2 tea boutique concept to their mix which offers an extensive selection of traditional favourites and edgy teas.       Came in here with my partner for breakfast, nice place and atmosphere. Lovely staff, great coffee. Was served really quickly which was nice and the food didn't take too long. Food was really nice, hot and fresh. Reasonable prices, would recommend.

      Amazing gem on one of the main streets in Rotorua. EXCELLENT coffee - dairy free options available (Soy, Almond & Coconut) I get my coffee here every morning. Also amazing brunches, can reccomend the omelette, the french toast is also DELICIOUS, and always the perfect poached eggs. Have also ordered off the side menu for my 1 year old toddler - very accommodating. Great staff, always friendly and attentive. Also a good loyalty system for coffees! GO HERE, its just great.

      We ate here a few times over a few days, because it is really good. There were some hits and some misses amongst our food choices. Coffee was consistently good as was the service, and this place gets pretty busy. Cabinet food is really good, the sweet selection is excellent. Had a good bagel with salmon. Porridge also top notch. Chowder was good but overly rich and creamy. Corn fritters made a good meal with lots of freshness but too low on the corn content so stodgy. Pancakes, light and fluffy. There is a good selection of (bottled, tinned, packaged) deli items.
