Situated in the centre of the Garden City, the 100-year-old Heritage Christchurch building is one of the few heritage-listed building remaining in Christchurch. Enjoy the elegance of the turn-of-the-century Old Government Building with its sweeping grand staircase, original stained glass windows and its old world charm. Just a short distance from the Botanic Gardens and Re:START Mall, the hotel is located behind the Christchurch Cathedral. This suite-only accommodation has one, two and three bedroom suites which are fully self-contained apartments. Daily breakfast is available in Maddison¿s Restaurant and there is an extensive health club, heated indoor lap pool, spa pool and sauna.

Such a wonderful hotel, the beds were comfortable and the rooms really well maintained. Very happy with my stay.

Stayed in the old government building suites . Rooms are beautiful - just be prepared for stairs to get to sleeping area. The staff are very friendly and has a nice restaurant on site - dine in a la carte or room service.

The garden entrance is free. It is very beautiful, big, full of different and huge trees, and some animals like ducks. The lady from the apartment we rented recommended it to us so it was the only place we met on christchurch as we were there only one night. Totally recommend.

An amazing place to stay!
Stayed here for 2 nights when in the city for a conference and this really is top drawer in all ways.
Easy to get to from the airport and free parking for guests. The building looks amazing and really stands out.
Friendly staff, fast check in and the rooms are very large, clean and fresh with large bathrooms.
The restaurant and room service are very good and the facilities include a beautiful pool and decent gym.
Well worth a stay!
