VETCARE Veterinary Hospital

Didnt have a great experience here, the treatment of my cat was fantastic and i cannot fault that, however they did extra treatment which was optional and not necessary without permission, so when i came to collect my cat they refused to release her until i paid all the extra services too! I ended up having to have someone else step in on my behalf to fight it as i was 9 months pregnant and distraught.

As I write this review there is a very happy wee puppy named Gabe curled up, fast asleep at my feet. I truly believe that the only reason he is still with us is because of Dr Heidi & her incredible team.

Because of distance from our home we stupidly took Gabe to two other vets who both dismissed his symptoms & even suggested that he might be "faking" them.

I had attended pre puppy classes with Dr Heidi so we called her in total desperation one afternoon. She made time to meet with us, listened to our concerns and most importantly - she took one look at Gabe, quickly recognized that something was very wrong & admitted him on the spot.

My husband & I walked out of the vets that day and agreed that he was finally exactly were he should have been all along. He was with a vet & staff who would leave no stone unturned to try to get to the bottom of what was happening.

Dr Heidi phoned in a number of times a day while we tried to ascertain what was wrong, she explained every step, every test and any concerns she had along the way. She woke up at 5am & Googled little known conditions, texted us x-rays & videos of his recovery. When she phoned to say he could come home I am not sure which of us was more excited.

For me the ultimate review comes from Gabe - he ended up being with Vetcare for the better part of two weeks under constant care. A lot of the stuff that he had to endure would have been less than fun but despite all that when we went back to Vetcare two days after he was discharged he was SO excited to see everyone!

He licked every staff member he could access & desperately wanted to go through the double doors to the hospital area which says it all. It might have been a long battle but he was doing it with a group of people who adored him & treated him just as though he was their own & in the way animals do he understood & appreciated that.

To vets Dr Heidi, Dr Joyce, Dr Naya & to nurses Becky, Emma, Kristy & Danielle - there is no thank you big enough, I get to do life with my wee companion again & I think of you all every time he does something he used to do before he fell ill.

Your Facebook page says that you are the "Superheroes of Petcare" and I could not agree more - you might hide your capes but I suspect you all fly home each evening :-)

My sweet little dog Pippi has had the best care, love and attention at vetcare limited. Many thanks to her amazin doctor Dr. Heidi Ward-McGrath who has gone above and beyond looking after my baby.

Heidi is a great vet, always impeccable service. A little bit more expensive than other clinics but well worth it.
