Skydive Wellington

Total let down, booked the skydive a week in advance after only having family visiting for such a short time in New Zealand. After checking with him that the weather should be good he said that they havnt had to cancel for weeks so should be fine. Waking up early on the day of the skydive to start our nearly two hour journey to the place that we jump. The guy calls me and says he has to move it back an hour due to weather, even though the weather looked fine! We had already begun our travels so carried on our journey and stopped for breakfast to kill some time. I then called again when we carried on our travels after our breakfast and for some reason he wanted to put it back another hour even though the weather was totally perfect now! We thought we would carry on driving toward the skydive area and see if we could just wait there until they thought it would be okay to dive. As we were just arriving I received a phone call from the guy saying he now has to cancel! Saying the weather is too bad, even though there was no wind and sunny! We thought we would go in and just double check there was no chance of it as it was my step dads last day in New Zealand and last chance the dive. You could clearly see that the worker had no urge to jump and I feel this is probably due to the fact that it was only the two of us jumping that day and he didn't feel it was worth while, he had no drive to try and jump and made out the weather was terrible when it was absolutely fine. To top it off he even had to ordasity to say that the first jump they had done in months was last weekend and they only managed to get one set of jumps go up because of unpredictable weather even though on the phone a week before he said a totally opposite story to this one! Very disappointed as this was my step dads 50th birthday present and first chance to sky dive which he had been looking forward to for ages now he has to fly back to the UK without this experience.
