The Chocolate Story Ltd

A nice little shop with a variety of hand made chocolates. I bought the caramelised almonds, they were delicious. A nice shop to visit!

Had a great time at Higher Ground, I went for a mid-week mid-afternoon lunch and had the cauliflower with scrambled eggs which had a nice spicy edge to it.

Came here before the Santa parade a couple of weekend ago with the kids so they could pick out a treat each for the wait. Had heard of this place from a colleague who said that the caramel almond chocolates were amazing. They were right. This shop is pretty small and I have to admit I only found it because I was looking for it. I must have walked by hundreds of times and never noticed it. Now I know it is there I will be back.

Lovely chocolate shop, tried the florentines (dark choc, just okay), passionfruit choc (very good, would go back and get this again), dark choc rose (had rose infused flavor, very good too), limoncello (least favorite, not very lemony and not very chocolatey...). Found out too late that they also made hot chocolates....maybe next time.

The handmade chocolates here are to die for - I particularly love the chilli chocolate. But if you have to choose only one thing, the caramelised scorched almonds are just beyond anything I've ever tasted - totally worth the $6 price tag. The only thing they could do is maybe hire a friendlier face to work the counter - I've felt a little unwelcome the few times I've been in.
