General Info
Willow-Jean loves Northland! She grew up there and it's home for her family. Northland gave her a great childhood, and she wants to make sure that there is a thriving future in Northland for families, communities and businesses. That's why she wants to be Labour MP for Northland. Willow-Jean is currently a Far North District Councillor in her second term. She has a strong background in law, advocacy and Maori and Community Development. Under National, Northland is being neglected. Unemployment is too high, families and businesses are struggling and the roads are a mess. Northland needs a real plan for jobs, for infrastructure and for its communities. Willow-Jean's priorities for Northland are housing, health, education, growth, vibrant communities and environmental responsibility. She believes Northland has huge potential for growth and says she will work collaboratively with local government, businesses and communities to identify opportunities and barriers to growth and work to overcome them. She'll fight for more investment in regional development to create better jobs and support local businesses. Labour is the party that can deliver for Northland because it is a party that cares about people and has a record of tackling the big issues of housing, health, education and employment which is exactly what Northland need.
