Te Papaioea Birthing Centre

Our daughter Kate was born on 14 June 2018 at Te Papaioea Birthing Centre. I am still smiling from our wonderful birthing experience with you and our lovely midwife. Unfortunately our sons birth in 2015 did not go very smoothly at the hospital and we were both left a bit traumatised from the whole experience. I went into Kate's pregnancy and birth experience ensuring I had no expectations however deep down I wanted nothing more than a memorable and positive experience as we completed our family. Following Kate's quick and empowering birth at the birthing suite I look back with such a full heart because my experience has set a positive foundation leading into the first couple of months as an expanded family. I am so grateful and cannot recommend this place enough. The center was peaceful, supportive, individualised in the care provided considering I was unable to breastfeed, had tasty meals, and the staff were very friendly. I loved that my husband was able to stay the night so we could rest in the quiet and bond as a family in preparation of returning home to introduce our daughter to her big brother. Thank you so much.
