This museum is one for the men, unless you are interested in machine engines and farm tools.
Some of the information panels about Jack Morgan's mother, who raised a large family and run a small farm as a solo mum, around the early 1900s, were interesting. Otherwise it's mainly machine engines (many from the local dairy factory). Hidden from view, is an alcove where there is a collection of kauri gum. It's a shame it is tucked out of sight, because that was the only collection I found interesting! Me and my guests were in and out of this museum in less than 10 minutes - hence my suggesting it is a museum for a specific audience.
