Very impressed by this company lately, we have been with them for 5 years now and the start was a bit rocky I must admit! But it does look like they are changing to be more beneficial to the customer and have actually become quite innovative. Nice change

Very happy with he level of service we are receiving. Prices seem to be pretty good through summer and winter.

They offer the most comprehensive gas and electricity services in NZ. The prices are average and there are sometimes good deals for contracts. They are relatively efficient in delivering gas bottles. Genesis was my first power company when we lived in Dunedin in 2015-16. They had the best rates in 2016 when the energy costs were lowest due to the fall in crude oil prices. I had been a customer of Genesis for two whole years but later switched because FLICK offered cheaper day and nite electricty.

I’ve used genesis energy for a rental property I have. And so far 2/3 months the bill has been muddled by genesis, once the bill had been paid yet they sent out a message saying it hadn’t, taking a lot of time out of my day sitting on hold. And then next time again an error on their part, resulting in a 20 min phone call to sort out. So far, not so good unfortunately. Hopefully their service improves.
