Focal Point Cinema & Cafe

I love going here for lunch or dinner and a movie. Food has always been really good and staff are always nice. They keep the place clean and tidy. The cinema seating is quite comfortable with good leg room. Number one place to go and see a movie with the baby on the special screening times.

I recently attended a "Bring Baby Too" session. The free morning tea was a nice touch - although a dairy free option would have been nice, I'm sure I'm not the only breastfeeding mum to be avoiding dairy. The light were left on which was great although the movie was simply too loud for the babies. I know that the cinema has some of the best sound in NZ but turning it down a bit for the session would have been appreciated. I had to leave during several parts of the movie to console my baby. The Havelock North cinema turns down the volume for their similar sessions so I would choose there instead next time.

3 cinema multiplex with cafe serving full menu meals. Great coffee (especially $2 Tuesdays) and big range of cabinet food. Enjoy coming here and supporting this business. The only cinema in Hastings CBD.

Cute cinema and you can have a meal

Used to love coming here little bit more ex pensive then Napier but the seats are very comphtable love that the seating goes up not just flat so if you have someone tall sit in front you can still see the screen. Wasnt happy last time I went took my son to a movie for his birthday our oreders were wrong and we were given to much money back due to been the honest person I am I told the male staff member who was rude grumpy and didn't say thank you and then he ended up short changing me I didn't realise till sat down In the movie I needed up going back down to sort it with same staff member who was yet again still rude didn't offer to fix order made us miss a good 20minutes of movie and still short changed me I laid a compliant and nothing was ever done.
