Established in 1894, Donovan's is one of New Zealand's oldest and most experienced wood merchants. Donovan's prides itself on looking after its clients and providing quality seasoned dry firewood and kindling all year round. Donovan's commitment to quality wood has been recognised by Hawke's Bay Regional Council as an Approved Good Wood Merchant. With all wood guaranteed to have a core moisture content of below 25 percent, pollutants are low and heat is high. This compares with a recently felled tree that can contain over 60 percent core moisture content - which will burn off the moisture as a toxic smoke, a health hazard to your community and yes, your money is literally going up in smoke.
