The Cheap Car Place

The details advertised for the car I purchased from these guys were not infact what was included in the car. It stated the car comes with an alarm and immobilisor, and explained to me when viewing the car that the fuel system is cut and the remote on the keys is what disarms the immobilisor.

It wasn't until a few days later, and a drive from Hamilton back home to Wellington where I went to test the alarm and discovered is was just central locking with remote, no alarm at all. I went and got a simple key cut copy and then discovered there was also no immobilisor.

I called them to discuss this issue and was told 'we aren't putting an alarm in'. I told them they advertised it with an alarm and I mentioned I carry expensive equipment so needed a car with alarm. They said they would get back to me that day.

No response, no calls. I have since emailed them several times, and posted on their facebook but still no reply and has been a few days short of a month now.

They did seem friendly when I was there however, and said 'any issues come up please contact us and we will happily sort it out with you', a shame they don't seem to keep this promise. They also opened 1 hour early to accomodate what time I was arriving so they get a star for this. Just be aware the things stated included int he car may be inaccurate and they may not be quite so accomadating after the purchase for your issues.
