Kingsgate Hotel Greymouth

Alright accomodation I didnt have a problem with it.

Convenient and central to town with great views but in need of a makeover. Great views!

Staff were helpful, providing a run through of the hotels facilities (Bar, Restaurant). Room was spacious but aged. The continental breakfast does not under deliver.

Amenities provided were sufficient and restocked daily. Ironing board and iron was a nice addition.

Stayed here for the view of the ocean, and a nice meal, what a let down. I was really keen on enjoying a nice meal, as Greymouth does not seem to have a lot of fine dining options, and their menu online looked really good. Problem is, after I got to the room, and checked the menu, all they had were bar snack type food. Burgers, Fish and Chips, nachos etc. What a let down. The view was nice, but you share a balcony with the room next door, though with something in the way to separate it, it does not do a great job of it, so not very private. The place was run down, and just not what I was expecting. Won't be back.

Bit run down, but room was clean. Good facilities and friendly staff. Meal was average. Good location right in the township.
