Muirs Book Shop

Excellent shop, could spend all day there. Such a great range of books, comfy armchairs to sit and read in. Love the coffee shop upstairs. Amazing place. Staff are friendly, helpful but not intrusive.

Lovely bookshop with plenty of books

This is a great bookshop situated right nextdoor to The Gisborne Herald on Gladstone Road. They have an impressive selection of books at Muir’s,, but I have to admit the main reason I go is for the excellent cafe upstairs! The food is always delicious, the coffee is good and, if it’s a nice day, it’s worth eating at a table outside on the balcony, which overlooks the main drag. Five stars for a well-run cafe and bookshop in one!

Fantastic family-owned independent bookseller with parking right outside in the Gisborne CBD. A charming shop housed in a historic building. They have a great selection of books, magazines, greeting cards, gifts. The friendly helpful staff make it a pleasure to shop here. There is also a cafe upstairs with a lovely balcony above the main street. The complete shopping experience!
