When I'm visiting a town as small as Fox Glacier, I don't hold out a ton of hope for great restaurant options. However, my husband and I both had excellent meals at the Last Kitchen- I had the vegetarian noodle dish, he had fish that was excellently prepared.

The chocolate cake was very rich and sinful. Not too sweet. Tiramisu was also worth a try. The Berry parfait tasted alittle strange, the berries inside didn't taste too good so we took it out.

we loved the food and we were very surprised how reasonable the dishes were ... well worth the visit .. we had dinner there twice during our stay

Have Asian menu, as well as high quality western food which recommend ribs, steak and seafood dish. Great value and just a little bit more special than your average restaurant.

The staff were nice, pizza was cooked in a reasonable time and was delicious. Definitely a hidden gem in franz josef.
