The Olveston home is a feast for the eyes. It's location within the city makes it easy to get to, though difficult to find parking. The garden is manicured well, with a small glasshouse. From the moment you get in, you'd be pretty much astounded by the decor and items within, with everything being either original, or redone to look like the original, as some needed some love due to natural course of time. Definitely a must visit.

Take a tour through Olveston House and you will step back in time. There are several guided tours, each day, and they are open all year round. The entrance fee is quite high, but I guess it is good value, considering you have someone explaining everything to you, and telling you the history. The tours are a good hour long. The tour guides are knowledgeable and very polite. They will answer any questions you may have, but the commentary they give, is informative and really interesting. It costs to go into the house, via a tour, but the gardens are free to roam around. The gardens are spectacular. There's a souvenir shop as well.
